Supported Crops¶

Reference list of crop types supported by the crop_type parameter.

How Crop Filtering Works¶

The crop_type parameter is optional. When provided:

The AI prioritizes diseases known to affect that specific crop
Results are more accurate and relevant
The response filters out unrelated diagnoses

When omitted, the AI attempts to identify the crop automatically from the image.

Custom / Unlisted Crops¶

The AI works with any crop

The crop_type enum covers the most common crops for our target markets. If your crop is not listed, omit the parameter — the AI will identify it automatically from the image.

Crop-Specific Tips¶

Maize¶

Best results when capturing: leaf lesions (close-up), ear rot, stalk damage. Common diseases detected: Maize Streak Virus, Northern Leaf Blight, Fall Armyworm damage, Gray Leaf Spot.

Cassava¶

Best results when capturing: leaf mosaic patterns, stem damage, root cross-sections. Common diseases detected: Cassava Mosaic Disease, Cassava Brown Streak, Bacterial Blight.

Tomato¶

Best results when capturing: leaf spots, fruit damage, stem lesions. Common diseases detected: Early Blight, Late Blight, Bacterial Wilt, Leaf Curl Virus.

Coffee¶

Best results when capturing: leaf rust spots, cherry damage, branch dieback. Common diseases detected: Coffee Leaf Rust, Coffee Berry Disease, Antestia Bug damage.
